At least 50,000 koalas dead in SEQ
Data released by the Department of Environment and Resource Management http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/wildlife-ecosystems/wildlife/koalas/pdf/koala-hospital-data-1997-may2011.pdf shows that in 14 years and 4 months a total of 21,965 koalas were admitted to wildlife hospitals.
