Talisa is now with a human mum
Tara is one of the older females in a tracking project in Brendale. When the vets checked her health 6 months ago, they discovered a little jellybean in her pouch.
This time during the health check they saw that mum is still in pretty good nick, but Talisa her little back rider was very skinny and under nourished. At 8 months old, her weight should be nearing the 1 kg mark, and she was not even 700 grams. So the vets decided to have a carer raise Talisa, while mother Tara was released back into her area.
It seems they made the right decision as Talisa is gaining a lot of weight and she is doing really well. She is taking the milk formula and is also eating tons of leaf. This was probably how she kept her belly full, when mum didn’t produce enough milk.
Talisa is a little darling, forever jumping onto her human mum and she loves to be a back rider on her shoulder.
