Introducing Ellen, a friend for Talisa

When two girls drove their car in the middle of the night in Cashmere, they barely noticed the little grey dot sitting on the road, and couldn’t prevent hitting her. Luckily they stopped and thought this little koala girl could not be old enough to survive without her mother, who was nowhere to be found.

Rescuers from Moreton Bay Koala Rescue took the little girl, who was named Ellen, to the wildlife hospital for a health check and apart from a sore wrist and a scratch under her eye, there seemed to be nothing wrong with her.

Little Talisa, who has been with one of our carers for the past month, was still in need of a friend and so Ellen was teamed up with her. They have had a few issues about the best place to sleep and they play fight a little bit, but it seems they get along really well.

When Ellen was given milk formula, she decided she really likes it, so we are not expecting any problems in the near future.

Apart from a bit of bickering about the best place to sleep Talisa and Ellen seem to be best friends.
