Statistics February 2011

In February 2011 we received a total 35 calls for help with koalas and other wildlife.
This number includes -
13 koala sightings (not complete, as not all information available at present)
3 relocations

17 koalas were admitted to the Australian Wildlife Hospital
Reasons:  1 car hit
13 sick
2 dog attacks
1 orphaned
- misadventure/injury

Results:   3 died/dead on arrival
8 euthanased
- released after treatment/observation
6 still in care at AWH

Released admissions from previous month: Wayne, Selena, Renee, Monique
Died from previous months: Tyrone

The rescue teams drove a total of 2677 kms in February 2011 (excluding releases)
