In January 2011 we received a total of 40 calls for help with koalas and other wildlife.

This number includes -

48 koala sightings (some sent by email)

1 relocation

13 koalas were admitted to the Australian Wildlife Hospital

Reasons:

2 hit by car

9 sick

0 dog attack

1 orphaned

1 misadventure/injury

Results:

1 died/dead on arrival

7 euthanased

1 released after treatment/observation

3 still in care at AWH

1 in foster care

Released admissions from previous month: Kat, Imelda, Daphne, Romeo, Masi, Alfreda, Brooklin, Nixon, Major Tom, Beatrix

Euthanased from previous months:  Eaton, Candy, Lucy-Belle

The rescue teams drove a total of 3303 kms in January 2011
